Using video clips in powerpoint presentations

What do you think of when you hear the words powerpoint presentation? I can guess there might be a sigh then 'oh no do I really have to sit through one of those again'. I maybe wrong but certainly from my experience they can be incredibly boring with over crowded slides and unclear messages.

I have seen some great ones too, usually few words a couple of pics and that's it. There is loads of stuff on the web about improving powerpoint presentations but I would like to give you one incredibly useful tip - during a slide show when you want the audience to concentrate on what you are saying and not the slide show, simply press the 'B' button. The screen goes black and you've got them focused on you.

I have been presented to and created slide show presentations for years now and powerpoint is a comprehensive piece of software that can embed many objects into the slides including video clips. Imagine a sales presentations with a video clip or two of customers saying great things about your service. I don't mean a boring 2 minute one I mean a 15 second video sound bite; brief, powerful, clear. The video clips we produce show customers talking naturally without scripts, it comes from the heart and therefore more credible.
